Downtown Italian outpost offers expertly baked pizza, signature southern Italian specialities and pastas, salads and a killer happy hour during the week with a selection of $5 bites and $3 drinks. Executive Chef Sascha Lyon (Delphine) crafts a menu that features an array of pizzas from fig & prosciutto, to truffled mushroom, to the indulgent potato & bacon pie that can arrive with fried egg, if requested. Other highlights include small plates of fontina fonduta, shrimp oreganato on the happy hour menu, in addition to grilled oyster mushrooms and flash fried calamari. Soleto features fresh signature cocktails like the Leaning Tamarindo (rye, tamarind, orange bitters) and Milano mule (amaro, ginger, lime, ginger beer) in addition to house made “cellos” in flavors of lemon, grapefruit and kumquat-blood orange, which can be sipped or added to sparkling water for a cello spritzer. 801 S.
