Join the Godfrey for Movie Night
Starts Oct. 9. Your favorite scary movie zone is back at I|O Rooftop located at the Godfrey Hotel Hollywood. Starting Wednesday, October 9th, and continuing every Wednesday until October 30th, they will feature scary movies on their Beetlejuice-themed rooftop. The movie screening experience incudes comfortable seating, state of the art projection and sound, beautiful views of the LA City landscape and the Hollywood hills & sign. L.A. Loves Alex’s Lemonade

Now Serving. Phillip Frankland Lee and Margarita Kallas-Lee are bringing their renowned Sushi by Scratch omakase to the SLS Beverly Hills for a 90-day pop-up. In the “white room,” guests will enjoy a 17-course omakase by three sushi chefs, starting with a cocktail and canapé. The nigiri menu features fish from Tokyo’s Toyosu Fish Market, with highlights like hamachi with sweet corn pudding, aged bluefin tuna and unagi fried in bone marrow fat. A Midsummer Night’s Dream with Dudamel

Shakespeare’s enchanted forest comes alive under Gustavo Dudamel’s direction at Walt Disney Concert Hall with Mendelssohn’s whimsical A Midsummer Night’s Dream, featuring immersive video projections and Spanish narration by actress María Valverde. ROOM-i-Nation
Oct. 4-5. Aditya Prakash presents ROOM-i-Nation, an adaptation of his 2023 album ISOLASHUN, featuring live music, soundscapes, video projections and personal stories. Blending his Los Angeles upbringing with his Karnatik musical education in India, Prakash’s work fuses contemporary sounds with a journey of self-discovery, resonating with anyone navigating multiple identities. After Friday’s performance, Prakash will engage in a post-show discussion with UCLA faculty member David Gere, while Saturday’s show will conclude with a brief meet and greet in The Nimoy lobby. Color in Motion: Chromatic Explorations of Cinema
Starts Oct. 6. The Academy Museum of Motion Pictures presents Color in Motion, featuring nearly 150 objects from the 1890s to today. The exhibition explores the relationship between color, music and movement across film history, covering themes like early dance, animated shorts, evolving color technologies and the narrative role of color.
