By late April, the scent of charred dough and bubbling mozzarella will take over Downtown Los Angeles. On April 25 and 26, L.A. LIVE transforms into a two-day tasting ground for one of the city’s most focused food festivals—Pizza City Fest Los Angeles 2026.
Now in its fourth year, the event gathers more than 40 pizzerias from across Southern California, compressing the region’s pizza landscape into a single, walkable experience. From Santa Barbara down to San Diego, the lineup reflects a scene that continues to evolve—Neapolitan, Detroit-style, New York slices, tavern pies, Sicilian squares—all baked fresh on-site, one after another.
From Dough to Fire: Panels, Demos, and Pizza Culture

The format is straightforward but ambitious: unlimited tastings from roughly 20 pizzerias per day, along with desserts, beverages, and access to live demos and panel discussions led by some of the most respected names in the industry.
Founded by James Beard Award-winning food journalist Steve Dolinsky, the festival leans into both access and education. Panels like “The Dough Whisperers” and live demonstrations from chefs and pizzaiolos give context to what’s happening on the plate—breaking down technique, fermentation, and the regional nuances that define each style.
Chef Panels, Demos, and What You’ll Learn

The experience goes beyond eating. Expect book signings, pizza competitions, and collaborative pop-ups through “The Collab Lab,” where chefs experiment with one-off creations alongside local artisans and producers.
There’s also a broader purpose behind the weekend. Pizza City Fest partners with C-CAP (Careers through Culinary Arts Program), supporting culinary education and career pathways for underserved students across the country.
For Los Angeles, the event captures something specific: a city no longer defined by one style of pizza, but by its range. What once required hours of driving across neighborhoods is now condensed into a single afternoon.
More Than a Food Event: Supporting Union Station Homeless Services

Across both days, the lineup rotates, meaning each ticket offers a slightly different experience. Expect names like Slice House, Triple Beam Pizza, Pizzana, Thunderbolt Pizza, and Joe’s Pizza alongside newer entrants and regional standouts.
Dessert vendors and beverage partners round out the experience, with beer, wine, cocktails, and non-alcoholic options included depending on ticket tier.
General Admission includes a set number of “fest-sized” slices, desserts, and drinks, while VIP tickets unlock early entry, exclusive lounge access, specialty pours, and reserved seating for panels and demos.
