The West Hollywood EDITION Scores Big With a Vintage Soccer Shirt Concierge and World Cup Fashion Pop-Up

The FIFA World Cup has officially arrived in Los Angeles, and while fans are chasing goals on the pitch, The West Hollywood EDITION is focusing on something equally coveted: vintage soccer shirts. The luxury hotel has partnered with Malibu-based archive Organic Research Group to launch one of the most unique World Cup experiences in the city—a dedicated Vintage Soccer Shirt Concierge that gives guests access to some of the world’s most collectible football jerseys and sportswear pieces.

Available through the end of July, the concierge experience allows hotel guests to browse a carefully curated archive of rare jerseys that have become icons of both sport and fashion.

Long before “sportswear-core” became a trend, soccer jerseys were already influencing music, fashion, and street culture around the world. The collection at The West Hollywood EDITION celebrates that evolution with pieces that tell the story of the game beyond the scoreboard.

Among the highlights:

1990 England World Cup Home Shirt

One of the most recognizable jerseys in soccer history, the England shirt from Italia ’90 remains a grail piece for collectors. Its classic Umbro design has become synonymous with football nostalgia, Britpop culture, and terrace fashion.

South Korea’s Legendary “Tiger Camo” Shirt

Bold, aggressive, and nearly impossible to miss, this rare national team jersey has become one of the most sought-after designs among collectors and fashion enthusiasts alike.

1994 United States World Cup Jersey

Featuring the iconic stars-and-stripes-inspired pattern, the jersey from America’s first modern World Cup remains one of the most recognizable shirts ever worn by the U.S. Men’s National Team.

Croatia’s Checkerboard Classic

Few national team kits are as instantly recognizable as Croatia’s red-and-white checkerboard design. The Nike-era version showcased here helped transform soccer jerseys into global fashion statements.

France’s Breton-Inspired Away Kit

Often cited as one of Nike’s most elegant soccer designs, the 2011-2012 France away jersey borrowed from traditional French Breton stripes, blurring the lines between sportswear and high fashion.

Beginning this summer, visitors can explore a dedicated retail pop-up curated by celebrity styling duo Damian and Avigail Collins, renowned vintage researchers and sourcing specialists whose client roster includes Rihanna, Kim Kardashian, and St. Vincent.

Located inside The Spa at The West Hollywood EDITION, the collection explores the growing intersection of sport, design, fashion, and culture through rare archival pieces sourced from around the globe.

Highlights include:

  • A rare Fendi soccer ball created for the 1998 FIFA World Cup
  • A soccer-inspired Claude Montana leather jacket
  • Vintage sportswear collectibles
  • Rare apparel and accessories sourced internationally

The collection will be available daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. through the end of July.

The World Cup has always been about more than soccer. It’s about culture, identity, design, music, and the stories people carry with them across borders.

By bringing together rare jerseys, collectible fashion, and luxury hospitality, The West Hollywood EDITION has created an experience that celebrates the game from a different angle—one where a 30-year-old shirt can tell just as compelling a story as the match itself.
