American Vintage Marks 20 Years with Venice Block Party Flair

American Vintage Marks 20 Years

On Saturday night, Abbot Kinney traded its usual Venice cool for French Riviera heat. American Vintage—born in Marseille, raised on Californian ease—threw its 20th anniversary bash in its newest U.S. store, turning the boulevard into a runway, dance floor, and neighborhood fĆŖte all at once.

The week leading up was a pre-party in itself. Locals queued for Cha Cha Matcha lattes on Monday, munched popcorn on Tuesday, and dipped into churros and lemonade midweek. By Friday, a collab with TRIAAANGLES had fans lining up for freshly screen-printed collector tees, smoothies in hand. Saturday afternoon brought Carmela ice cream—just enough sugar to carry the crowd into the main event at sundown.

The guest list read like a cross-section of young Hollywood and global cool kids—Eyal Booker, Rocky Barnes, Christina Masterson, Christian Isaiah, Corbyn Besson, Clara Berry, Justine Cuenco, Jade Hallyday, and more—all weaving through racks and sipping cocktails under the soft Venice air. Photographer Gabriel Perez Silva captured the scene, while influencers slipped in and out, phones raised, every corner turned into content.

ā€œVenice feels like the right place to celebrate,ā€ founder and CEO MichaĆ«l Azoulay said earlier in the week, reflecting on the brand’s South of France roots. ā€œThere’s a natural exchange here—sunlight, colors, freedom—that’s in our DNA.ā€

When the in-store lights dimmed at 10, the crowd spilled down the block to The Butcher’s Daughter for the invite-only afterparty. Twee and IZY kept the beats alive until closing, the same faces from the store dancing in tighter corners, the mood looser and louder.

For a brand that built its name on elevated basics, American Vintage made sure its 20th year felt anything but basic. Between a week of neighborhood treats and a finale that pulled in fashionistas, actors, musicians, and locals alike, the anniversary marked more than a milestone—it set a tone for what’s next. Expect more color, more community, and more reasons to party on both sides of the Atlantic.
