Fall Fun at 2ND & PCH: Family Events, Music, and Cultural Celebrations in Long Beach

As the fall season rolls in, 2ND & PCH, Long Beach’s premier waterfront destination, is gearing up for a jam-packed lineup of events to delight the community. From kid-friendly activities to cultural celebrations and lively music nights, there’s something for everyone at this vibrant hub. Throughout October and November, visitors can enjoy a wide array of family-friendly experiences, all designed to celebrate the spirit of the season.

Fun for Little Explorers

Kicking off the fun is the PCH Explorers Kids Club on Tuesday, November 26th from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Kids will be entertained by two incredible talents: Christopher T. Magician and Joe Selph’s Spooktacular Marionette Show. This free event will feature themed crafts and interactive entertainment, giving little adventurers a magical day of learning and fun. It’s the perfect seasonal outing for families looking to spark creativity in their children.

This fall, 2ND & PCH will also host several cultural markets that bring the community together to celebrate diversity. On Saturday, October 12th, the 714 Market honors Filipino American History Month in partnership with the Long Beach Filipino Festival. From 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., the market will feature cultural performances, artisanal goods, and a chance to support local Filipino businesses.

Next, on Saturday, October 26th, the Dreamers Market: Halloween Edition invites guests to embrace the spooky spirit with handmade crafts and festive products from local makers. The fun continues with the Unidos Market: Día de los Muertos on Saturday, November 2nd from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., a celebration of the Latinx community, featuring unique artisan goods and live performances to honor this cherished tradition.

“We carefully select honorees who reflect our core values—those who have taken their platforms and used them to advocate for social good,” Nurit explains. “The impact they’ve had, not just on the industry, but on communities, is incredible. We want attendees to walk away feeling that same inspiration, knowing they can be part of this movement for change.”

Get Your Groove On

For those who love to dance, Dancing Underneath the Stars offers an evening of salsa on Sunday, October 15th. The night starts with a free salsa class from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., followed by social dancing from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a lively playlist to keep you on your feet. While the event is free, RSVPs are required to reserve a spot in the class.

Meanwhile, music lovers can head over to Beachside Beats Vibes, the center’s live outdoor music series, starting Thursday, October 24th. This special Halloween edition, Haunted by Music Legends, will celebrate iconic hits from legendary artists, bringing nostalgia and fun to the waterfront.

A Spooky 5th Anniversary Celebration

Rounding out the fall festivities is Ghouls Night Fall Fest, held on Thursday, October 31st from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Celebrate 2ND & PCH’s five-year anniversary with trick-or-treating, a costume contest, and live music. Families are invited to dress up and enjoy a frightfully fun evening, but be sure to RSVP if you want to participate in the costume contest.
