San Diego Beer Week Nov. 2-11
Quickly approaching 500 events, Beer Week is San Diego’s biggest celebration of the county’s thriving craft beer culture.
San Diego Beer Week is a ten-day countywide festival that showcases local breweries, restaurants, pubs and other businesses with ties to the craft beer community. Now in its fourth year, what some call “the best week of the year” attracts beer tourism from all over. While events begin as early as Friday, Nov. 2, San Diego Beer Week officially kicks off with the Brewers Guild Festival at the Port Pavilion on Broadway Pier on Saturday, Nov. 3. The festival features more than 100 of the finest beers from local craft breweries, food from Allied Guild Member restaurants and brewpubs and live music and entertainment. Beer Week closes with unlimited craft beer and food tastings at a beer garden at The Lodge at Torrey Pines on Sunday, Nov. 11, and the days in between are jam-packed with special pourings, dinner pairings, tasting events, meet and greets with brewers and total tap takeovers. Check the website event schedule to see everything that’s happening throughout the county including an Alesmith beer and cheese pairing at the Encinitas Ale House, a beer and bacon dinner at Alchemy and the ultimate beer and chocolate pairing at Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens. sdbw.org
