Aug. 29-Sept. 1. Westside Go-Go and Refined N Aktiv close out Labor Day Weekend with brunch, swimming, cocktails and panoramic views from the W Hollywood rooftop. Hear Yacht Rock and Watch a Film at Tongva Park
Sept. 5. Tongva Twilight combines live music and outdoor cinema near the Santa Monica shoreline. The Windbreakers will perform 1970s yacht-rock favorites before a screening of HBO’s Yacht Rock: A DOCKumentary, introduced by director Garret Price. Sept. 5-7. Labor Day Fiesta returns to downtown Hermosa Beach following a three-year hiatus. The three-day street festival features the Makers Mercado, Food Fair, a mini carnival and live performances across two stages. Most festival areas are free. The Garden is limited to guests 21 and older and requires a $10 daily cover charge.

Celebrate Filipino Cinema at the Manila International Film Festival
Sept. 3-6. The Manila International Film Festival returns with screenings, filmmaker conversations and programs spotlighting Filipino and Filipino American talent. Highlights include Manila’s Finest, a Lea Salonga retrospective, DreamWorks Animation’s Forgotten Island and a lineup of shorts, documentaries and feature films. Public screenings take place at the TCL Chinese Theatre through Saturday. The festival concludes Sunday with an awards gala at The Beverly Hilton.
