Flying Miz Daisy

Sept. 26. Get your wallets ready because the premier outdoor vintage market is back at the O.C. Fair and Event Center in Costa Mesa! Peruse through more than 150 participating vendors offering vintage, antique, re-purposed and hand-crafted artisan goods. Live Music Series at SOCO and the OC Mix

Sept. 26. Sit back and relax during SOCO and the OC Mix’s live music series at the new outdoor dining garden. Guests can stop by every Saturday to listen to live acoustic sessions; this weekend’s musical guest is guitarist Clif Miller. Ohana Festival

Sept. 26-27. Jam out to your favorite musicians and bands at this year’s annual Ohana Festival from home! Presented by Kona Brewing Co., this free 24-hour livestream will relive the magic of Doheny State Beach collection of iconic archival sets and exclusive, live performances featuring Eddie Vedder (pictured), The Strokes, Incubus, Social Distortion and more. Expect new performances by Deaf Charlie ft. Jeff Ament & John Wicks, Pluralone, Iron Sage Wood ft. Rob Machado and The Aquadolls. Watch on or YouTube. 5 p.m. Free.

Fall Harvest Tasting Menu

Sept. 25. To celebrate the Autumnal Equinox, Knife Pleat’s chef Tony Esnault presents a six-course tasting menu—complete with wine pairings—using ingredients the season has to offer. From crisp apples and poached pears to figs and butternut squash, the fruits and vegetables of autumn make for a season of both savory and sweet dishes. Curry Up Now Birthday Weekend

Sept. 26-27. It’s Curry Up Now’s birthday this weekend and to celebrate, its Irvine Spectrum Center location is offering buy one, get one free burritos on Saturday and Sunday! Bruxie in Old Towne Orange

Reopened. Returning to its original, single 400-square-foot location in historic Old Towne Orange is the popular fried chicken and waffle sandwich eatery, Bruxie. Locals and visitors to the area can now stop by for breakfast, lunch and dinner to grab their favorite savory (or sweet) waffle sandwiches. HB Hot by Four Sons Brewing

Now Open. Huntington Beach is turning up the heat with a new addition to the culinary scene—HB Hot by Four Sons Brewing. Located at Bella Terra, HB Hot specializes in spicy hot chicken sandwiches, along with sides such as housemade coleslaw, mac and beer cheese (yes, you read that right!), and steak fries. Brunch at Old Vine Kitchen and Bar

Every Sunday. Get your forks ready because Sunday brunch is back at the Old Vine Kitchen and Bar. The menu highlights a variety of classic dishes—such as fresh strawberry crepes and baked caramel apple French toast (pictured)—as well as new favorites like the house-cured and smoked salmon platter with a fresh-baked bagel and all the fixings. Upcoming | Sept. 29. Shake up your Tuesday with Texas Tiki Night at the Blind Pig in Rancho Santa Margarita! In partnership with Texas’ own Garrison Brothers Whiskey, the evening features an exclusive selection of southern-meets-tropical fare, including smoked barbecue pork shoulder tacos ($3 each), Tiki-inspired bourbon cocktails ($9) and a featured combo—which includes two tacos and a Texas Tiki cocktail crafted with Garrisons Brothers Whiskey ($12). Theatrical Dance and Equity: Ever A Dancer

Sept. 24. Step into the world of musical theatre, theatrical dance and the state of the movement arts from true industry insiders during this real-time conversation hosted by Musco Center for the Arts. Informed by their extensive performance careers and creative pursuits, listen to professional dancers, choreographers, and educators Wilson Mendieta, Rommy Sandhu (pictured), Lainie Sakakura and Tommar Wilson as they discuss their personal lives, careers, and transitions as people of color in the musical theatre industry. 7 p.m. Free.

Still Life Ceramics Pop-Up

Now Open. Create your own work of art at this L.A.-based ceramics studio’s newest pop-up in Dana Point Harbor. The shop features handmade ceramics from local artists and hosts a variety of pottery classes for beginners, experienced potters and kids. Adults who sign up for the popular “Rosé & Clay” class receives a free glass of rosé at the Harbor Grill Restaurant following the class.
