May 11. An afternoon of family-friendly finger-lickin’ fun features tastings, lawn games, eating contests and more. Watch and sample as SoCal’s top pitmasters and chili experts compete for trophies, $10,000 in cash prizes and the highly-coveted People’s Choice Award. In addition to the barbecue and chili tastings, guests can enjoy corn, funnel cakes and other treats; hang out in the game zone to play giant Connect Four, beer pong, horseshoe toss, ladder ball, corn hole and ride on a mechanical bull. May 11. Come watch the 2018 Winter Olympics bronze medal-winning U.S. Figure Skating team in action at the Honda Center. Skaters include world champion Nathan Chen and medalists Maia and Alex Shibutani, Ashley Wagner, Mirai Nagasu, Jeremy Abbott and Bradie Tennell. May 12. Back Bay Bistro welcomes guests to celebrate moms at a brunch buffet offering bottomless mimosas and a waterfront view. Signature breakfast dishes are available, as well as seafood specialities including chilled King crab legs and oysters on the half shell. Go back for seconds from food stations featuring cooked-to-order omelettes, breakfast potatoes, bacon and a dessert display with a chocolate fountain. May 12. Elevate Mother’s Day with a garden party brunch and family fun in the hotel’s ballroom. Enjoy live music, bouquet-making, and kids’ activities, plus a flower wall with a photographer standing by. Starters include artisan cheeses and charcuterie, ahi niçoise, Chinese dumplings and vegetable chow mein. Entree options include ribeye, herb-roasted chicken and cedar-planked salmon. Satisfy your sweet tooth with desserts such as crème brûlée s’mores. May 12. Treat your mother to a brunch or dinner fit for a queen. Both menus highlight starters such as mushroom soup with Devonshire cream and scallions, and the little gem Caesar. Main entrées include crab Benedict with housemade béarnaise sauce and truffle potatoes at brunch and Colorado lamb chops with Stilton mashed potatoes and sautéed spinach at dinner. Now Open. The acclaimed New York burger joint has arrived at  Downtown Disney. In addition to burgers, the menu presents shake flavors including Cotton Candy, Sweet n’ Salty and Brooklyn Blackout and the new Strawberry Shortcake. Now Available. Andrei’s Conscious Cuisine & Cocktails welcomed spring with menu items that reflect that colors and flavors of the season. Through May 19. The Tony Award-nominated Broadway revival of the beloved musical introduces a new generation to the uplifting celebration that raises its cup to joy.
