International Women’s Day Yoga
March 8. Marriott Irvine Spectrum partners with Lululemon for a night of yoga led by Lululemon ambassadors Steph Solovy, Chelsey Lowe and Madison Russell. A brief discussion on the history of International Women’s Day follows the yoga session. Proceeds benefit John Foundation, a nonprofit that rescues children from being trafficked. Hoag Classic
March 8-10. Now in its 25th year, the Hoag Classic (formerly Toshiba Classic) brings golfers with worldwide professional victories to Southern California. Golf legends include Fred Couples, John Daly, Bernhard Langer and Mark O’Meara; 80 additional players  compete in the tournament. $25 pre-sale, $30 day-of. MusinkMusink Tattoo Convention & Music Festival
March 8-10. Musink returns to Orange County for its 12th year, celebrating music and tattoos with more than 300 tattoo artists and killer entertainment. Performers include the Vandals, Limp Bizkit, Travis Barker and Suicidal Tendencie. See website for schedule and ticket options. Single-day passes start at $29. Festival of Whales
March 9-10.
 Celebrate the annual spring migration of gray whales at Dana Point Harbor’s 48th annual Festival of Whales. Activities include whale-watching, live music, a free fishing clinic for kids, a clam chowder cook-off and classic car and boat displays. National Meatball Day at Angelina’s Pizzeria Napolentana
March 9. Forget the spaghetti, and savor meatballs that will be available at Angelina’s all day long. OC Restaurant Week
Through March 9. Eat. Drink. Repeat. One hundred and fifty of Orange County’s favorite restaurants dish up delicious prix fixe menus at fantastic prices. New focuses this year include cocktails, and breakfast for dinner; new guides are divided into categories such as family-friendly dining, date night and ladies’ night. Lunch $10-$25, dinner $20-$50.




OC Wine Fest
March 9-10. Celebrate spring at the second annual wine festival on the historic grounds of A Stones Throw Winery. Learn about and sip wines from around the globe. Taste craft beers, order from food trucks, shop from distinctive vendors and enjoy live music. 21+. Sunday Brunch at Trade Food Hall 
Starts March 10. Mini pork bun sliders, fried chicken breakfast burritos, specialty lattes and mega mimosas…. The outdoor Trade Food Hall now serves Sunday brunch. Flavors from around the globe include Vietnamese fusion, Mexican and vegan. 10 a.m.-1 p.m. 2222 Michelson Drive, Irvine.





Casa Up Close: Doctor Tom Deméré, Paleontologist
March 7. Dr. Tom Deméré curator of paleontology at the San Diego Natural History Museum, talks about his most noteworthy dig finds, including the discovery in 1992 of a 130,000-year-old mastodon dinosaur skeleton whose bones are believed to have been broken and sharpened with stones by early humans. 7-8 p.m. $10-$12.
