Roll down to Huntington Beach for the 7th annual Learn to Skate event. Expect music, games, vendors, food, photo-ops, giveaways and more. Professional skaters attending include Christian Hosoi, Tosh Townend, Mark Appleyard, Pam Browoske, Jose Cerda, Sarah Thompson and Eric Michaelson. Hi-Time's Annual Charity Chili Cook-OffHi-Time Wine Cellars’s Charity Chili Cook-Off
Aug. 12. Don your best 1980s attire and get groovy at Hi-Time’s 12th annual charity chili cook-off. Indulge in chili samples from restaurants such as The Cannery, Chronic Tacos, Oak & Coal and Tower 489, plus organizations like Costa Mesa Fire Department will be participating. Aug. 10-12. Choreographer of Russia’s fabled Mariinsky Theatre, Vladimir Varnava, leads a creative team to bring the modern dance revolutionary Isadora Duncan (1877-1927) to life. Taking center stage in this world premiere is Natalia Osipova, one of today’s reigning prima ballerinas and principal dancer of London’s Royal Ballet.
