Captain Dave’s for Cinco

La Habra Citrus Fair

May 3-5. The La Habra Chamber of Commerce is hosting the 14th annual La Habra Citrus Fair, featuring fun new rides, enhanced food experiences, live entertainment, a custom car show, merchant shopping, and much more. Community Table

May 3. Join The Ecology Center for an edible conversation between a farm, a chef and the community. This beloved event brings the renowned Chef Alan to The Ecology Center farm to design an ecological meal. Celebrating authentic flavors, this meal crafts a culinary experience that resonates with the vibrant essence of Mexican gastronomy. OC Marathon

May 4-5. The 20th anniversary of the OC Marathon is set to take place, starting at the Newport Beach Marriott Hotel & Spa. This milestone event will feature a series of activities to celebrate two decades of fitness, community engagement and endurance, inviting all-levels of runners and walkers to participate. Friday at 4-8 p.m. Saturday at 10 a.m.-5 p.m. 3100 Airway Ave Ste 104, Costa Mesa.

Cinco de Mayo at Maizano

May 5. Chef Alan Sanz has prepared several specials for Cinco de Mayo, such as their signature margarita Impala and classic margarita, which will both be priced at $12, as well as a trio of cochinita pibil tacos for $13. An extra treat for those who ran in the OC Marathon, is that if they show their medal, they will receive a Colimita lager beer and a shot of tequila or Mezcal for $12. 2300-C Harbor Blvd, Costa Mesa.

Calaca Mamas Celebrates with a Special Menu

Through May. Celebrating two years in business, Calaca Mamas Cantina launched a special birthday menu available throughout May. The limited-time menu blends the owners, sisters, and second-generation restaurateurs Angela and Mariam El Haj’s love of Mexican heritage with local produce, organic flavors, and unique, playful presentations. 1550 S.
