Surf Punk Revival at Laguna Beach Cultural Arts Center

May 20. The house will reverberate with nostalgic punk-rock surf music as the Johnny Malibu Surf Punk Revival kicks off its tour at the Laguna Beach Cultural Arts Center. Local guitarist John Heussenstamm, a.k.a. Johnny Malibu, was a founding member of the iconic surf rock band Surf Punks. $30-$50. Saturday, at 8 p.m. 235 Forest Ave., Laguna Beach.

27th Annual Crawfish Festival

May 19-21. New Orleans’ most exquisite flavors are heading out West to fill up the world’s largest crawfish pots. Blossoms and Brass

Blossoms & Brass, the newest addition to Collage Culinary Experience, South Coast Plaza’s global dining collective is now open, debuting a curated menu of artisan cocktails and decadent bites. Taking cues from the restaurant’s rich design and décor, the menu at Blossoms & Brass masterfully combines old-world Italian influence with Japanese ingredients and flavor profiles. Starfish Newport Beach

May 19. Returning to the Irvine Barclay Theatre stage for the third time, Joey Alexander is an extraordinary and uniquely gifted pianist from Indonesia.
