Comics and Cards Festival

May 13. Gamers, movie buffs, comic enthusiasts, anime lovers, and more are invited to Downtown Anaheim’s very first Comics and Cards Festival. This free event aims to bring together enthusiasts from all over for a celebratory afternoon. Saturday, 12 p.m. – 4 p.m. 201 West Center Street Promenade, Anaheim.

The Power of Posters

May 13. In conjunction with the exhibition Facing the Giant – Three Decades of Dissent: Shepard Fairey, Carol A. Wells, founder and executive director of the Center for the Study of Political Graphics, will converse with LAM Curatorial Fellow, Rochelle Steiner. They will discuss art, activism and posters that have changed history. Friday, 6 p.m. 307 Cliff Drive, Laguna Beach.

Palm Tree Music Festival

May 13. Come enjoy a slice of the Palm Tree Crew’s tropical-inspired festival series as this one-day concert series descends on sunny Orange County. This year’s lineup includes performances by Kygo, Ellie Goulding, Tove Lo, The Midnight, The Knocks, Two Feet and Forester.
