Coffee and Music with Bear Coast Coffee

Aug. 1. Ease into your morning with a fresh cup of Bear Coast Coffee and a live acoustic performance in Casa Romatica’s coastal amphitheater. Drive-In Movie at Irvine Spectrum Center

Aug. 2. Grab your tickets before they’re gone to see the classic, adventure comedy film, The Goonies, on the fifth level of the parking structure (5 Freeway side) at Irvine Spectrum Center. Tickets are $50 per car and includes a $20 Irvine Spectrum Center gift card to use toward dinner or snacks from one of shopping center’s restaurants before the flick. Aug. 1. Elevate your Saturday night with chef Tony Esnault’s elegant six-course prix fix menu under the summer sky on South Coast Plaza’s Bridge of Gardens Terrace. Along with the tasting menu, guests have the option to opt in for wine pairings. Alfresco Dining at Khan Saab

Reopened. Award-winning chef Imran Ali Mookhi has officially reopened Khan Saab Desi Craft Kitchen for lunch and dinner in downtown Fullerton. This eclectic eatery transformed its outdoor space into street bistro dining. Dinner For Two Under the Stars

Every Thursday. Haven’t had a date night in a while? Make reservations at Café Jardin to enjoy chef Pascal Olhats’ all-new Dinner for Two Under the Stars menu. Hello Kitty Alfresco Tea Service

Reopened. Calling all Hello Kitty fans! Hello Kitty Grand Cafe’s Bow Room is back with its popular afternoon tea service and Bow Room cocktails outdoors in front of the cafe. Alfresco afternoon tea service is available Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Bow Room cocktails available on the patio Friday and Saturday from 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Limited seating; reservations highly recommended. Outdoor Dining at Marché Moderne

Reopened. The critically-acclaimed French restaurant welcomes diners to its expanded outdoor dining patio along the front of its restaurant in Newport Coast. The abbreviated menu offers some French bistro favorites from coq au vin and steak tartare to the return of chef Amelia’s weekly Napoleon. The chef’s tasting menu has also resumed for alfresco dining, along with a new pork belly confit (pictured) and bistro burger. Select dishes available for curbside takeout. Weekend Brunch at Bello

Now Available. Brunchers rejoice! Italian newcomer Bello by Sandro Nardone now offers a weekend brunch to enjoy on the extended patio area. The menu is divided into six sections: small plates, eggs, pizza, sandwiches, salads and sweets. Chef de cuisine Frank DeLoach added a few lunchtime favorites, including a fried chicken sandwich with sweet and spicy Calabrian peppers and housemade pickles. Additional dishes include ricotta pancakes with apricot jam, the Colazione sandwich, French toast with amaretto custard and espresso gelato. Summer Replay Virtual Series

Begins July 30. Pacific Symphony presents a four-concert virtual summer symphonic series, Summer Replay, that will be available on demand for 45 days after each performance premiere date. Senior vice-president of artistic planning, Eileen Jeanette, will host each program and interview musicians before each concert. To watch, sign in with an email address on the website beginning at 6:30 p.m. Each concert starts at 7 p.m. Free.

Marine Layer

Now Open. In need of a new wardrobe? San Francisco-based, casual apparel brand, Marine Layer, is now open near Nordstrom at Fashion Island in Newport Beach. Since 2009, the brand’s California-inspired styles make getting dressed every day easier offering styles for men, women and kids, and it doesn’t hurt that Marine Layer known for its absurdly soft clothing.
