SteelCraft Garden Grove’s Summer Culture Series

July 24. Mark your calendar for the outdoor urban food hall’s Summer Culture Series, an all-new series of events celebrating SoCal’s rich diversity. The first of three events will take place this Saturday and focus on the AAPI community. Expect live music, speakers, and cultural performances while enjoying chef-led demos, food, and shopping from various local AAPI makers’ pop-ups. Mimosa Girls Drag Brunch

Every Sunday. Spice up your summer with weekly drag brunch featuring the Mimosa Girls at Costa Mesa’s all-inclusive nightlife destination Strut Bar & Club. Hosted by Xotica Erotica with Kristinia Minka and Siracha, plus special guests, the Mimosa Girls Drag Brunch is a must-see cocktail show for RuPaul’s Drag Race fans with surprise Drag Race alums every week. Now Available. Level up your summer with Billy’s at the Beach’s new takeout experience designed for boating adventures. Located on the Newport Harbor, Billy’s dockside Aloha To Go menu—available Tuesday to Sunday—features elevated grab-and-go cuisine from curated charcuterie boards to fresh shrimp cocktails, sandwiches and more. Billy’s Mai Tai cans, White Claw and beer are also available. The Gift of Los Angeles: Memories in Watercolor by Gayle Garner Roski 

Opens July 24. Bowers Museum presents an exhibition by Los Angeles-based artist, traveler and storyteller Gayle Garner Roski (pictured) through November 14. Featuring more than 100 of her watercolor works on display, this celebration of life was a labor of love for the artist, who completed the project while battling the rare neurodegenerative disease amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS)—also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease—and unfortunately passed away in October of 2020. Watch Tony nominee Ann Hampton Callaway, one of the leading pop/jazz singers of our time, perform an exciting night of songs and stories in celebration of one of America’s most beloved artists, Linda Ronstadt.
