The OC Fair Cruises On

Ongoing. One of Orange County’s largest and most iconic events – The Orange County Fair – rolls into its second week. With food, fun, rides, games, events, and more, the whole family can enjoy this spectacle of fun. Advanced tickets are highly recomended, and be found here along with parking information, and more. OC Fair & Event Center, 88 Fair Drive, Costa Mesa.

Sigler Park Splash Pad

Now Open. Beat the heat and have some fun in the sun at the Sigler Park Splash Pad. Explore fun new features, including a grand captain’s wheel, a huge ship anchor, friendly fishes, and cool sea serpents. Private party rentals are also available. Open daily from 12 p.m. – 5 p.m. 7200 Plaza St., Westminster.

Fish Fry and Carnival

July 23-25. The 76th Fish Fry and Carnival returns for another weekend of fun, food (fish), and games. The weekend will include a beer and wine garden, carnival rides & games, blues and rock bands, various booths, and more. Attendance is free – fish dinners are $15. Talay Pop-up at Montage

Taste of Talay Pop-up

Now Open. Through September 6th, culinary artistry meets native Thai flavors as the Taste of Talay pop-up at Montage Laguna Beach returns. Chef Marc Narongchai shines with signature dishes, including vibrant Thai Ceviche, to Khao Soi Spicy Crab Noodle, all set amidst the backdrop of the Pacific, with a tropical, open-air setting. Hours vary. 30801 South Coast Hwy, Laguna Beach.

The Angry Chickz Grand Opening

July 21. Nashville Hot Chicken finds a new home in Orange County as The Angry Chickz readies its new, Aliso Viejo location for a grand opening this Friday. Doors will open at 11 a.m. and the first 100 customers will get a free bag of merch with their order. Friday, 11 a.m. 26741 Aliso Creed Rd Suite E, Aliso Viejo.

Escape to Brunch

July 22. Stowaway Tiki brings back one of its most popular menus – brunch. Guests can come hide from the heat as you escape into another world as only Stowaway can feliver while dining on dishes such as Spam Musubi, Loco Moco, and more. Served on Saturday, 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Reservations are recommended. 14401 Newport Ave, Tustin.

Aluminum Man Returns

July 22. Mutt Lynch’s Aluminum Man Event is back for the first time since 2019. The event consists of a two 1-mile runs, ¼-mile swim, and concludes with drinking two of Mutt Lynch’s signature 32oz Schooners. All proceeds go to the Wounded Warrior Project. Limited to 60 participants, but spectators are welcome to come cheer. Saturday, 10 a.m. 2300 W. Oceanfront, Newport Beach.

VEA Opens with a Bang

ReFresh Fridays at VEA

July 21.  Start the weekend early, and enjoy 25% off cabanas at Edge Pool on Fridays, which hold up to 8 guests with premium couch seating and lounge chairs, flat screen TV, mini fridge, complimentary rosé and fruit plate, and an assorted menu of bites and drinks from Edge Bar, where a live DJ starts at 5 p.m. Specific times check website. 900 Newport Center Drive, Newport Beach.

Storytime Saturday

July 22. Bring your little ones to Laguna Art Museum for an interactive Storytime and art-making experience unlike any other. Read-alouds will be supplemented with mindfulness exercises, art-making projects, or in-gallery activities that promote meaningful connections with caregivers and others.
