Pork 101 with Electric City Butcher

July 14. This hands-on overview will teach you how we source our animals, how to identify the different parts of the pig and the basics of breaking it down. Each student takes home 4 lbs. of pork, gets an Electric City Butcher Toolbag, and 10% off any purchases in the shop that evening. Light food and refreshments afterward. Creative Babe Market

July 16. Come shop from and celebrate over fifty women-owner businesses at a special night market this Saturday from 4-8 p.m. All ages are welcome and, aside from shopping, can enjoy great food and drinks, a live DJ all night long, face painting for kiddos, and more. Music in the Park

July 17. Music in the Park continues on Sunday evenings with The Great North Special taking the stage. Concerts start at 5 p.m., but please don’t set up before 3 p.m. No dogs, no smoking and no sale or display of merchandise is allowed at Bluebird Park. Low-back beach chairs are encouraged. Alcohol is permitted but must be accompanied by a full meal. Admission is free. Bluebird Park is located at 772 Cress St., Laguna Beach.

Brew Hee Haw

July 15-16. Head to the OC Fair for two days of musical performances to jumpstart your fair season. Featuring the sounds of Big Sandy and his Fly-Rite boys band, as well as Greg Antista and The Lonely Streets. If that wasn’t already enticing enough, guests for Brew Hee Haw can enjoy unlimited pours from over a hundred craft beers, free fair admission, and more.
