American Blues and Jazz Festival

Aug. 6. Listen to the cool jazz and blues vibes of the Steve Johnson Quintet, the Will Trueblood Jazz Band, and Denny T and Party of Three. Enjoy a full day of fun for the entire family. Summer Jams at The Ocean Institute

Aug. 4. Rock and roll into the weekend with live music, food trucks, craft beer and wine, and more as Summer Jams rolls into its final weekend. Mojave Ghost, and Marc Ford will be playing for the crowds. Music begins at 7 p.m. with the entire evening scheduled for Friday, 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. $35. 24200 Dana Point Harbor Drive.

The Fit Expo

Aug. 5-6. This weekend countless fitness competitions will take place, from NPC Bodybuilding to USPA Powerlifting, Jiu-Jitsu, Arm Wrestling and much more. There will be countless on-site demonstrations, seminars, and more. Saturday and Sunday, at 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Anaheim Convention Center, 800 W Katella Ave, Anaheim.

Dizzy Bird Soft Opens

Mastica Pop-up

Aug. 3. One of Orange County’s most anticipated restaurants is setting up shop for the night surrounded by great wine, jazz, and more, as Mastica pops-up at Semi Tropic wine in Costa Mesa for a night of fantastic flavors. Coming with a small but profound menu, the evening promises to be a can’t-miss event. Thursday, service begins at 5 p.m. 819 W. 19th St., Costa Mesa.
