Barbie Truck Malibu Tour

Aug. 21. The Barbie Pop-Up Truck is cruising back this summer with a whole new look and 1970s beach vibes. For its third stop, the 2021 Barbie Malibu Touris heading to Irvine Spectrum Center with new exclusive retro-inspired merchandise as part of its U.S. tour to celebrate the 50th anniversary and iconic heritage of the original California girl, Malibu Barbie. In addition to the new exclusive collectibles and multiple shareable photo moments, look forward to giveaways and a popsicle stand near the truck to beat the summer heat. 10 a.m.-7 p.m. 670 Spectrum Center Drive, Irvine.

SteelCraft Garden Grove’s Black Culture Event 

Aug. 21. In celebration of Southern California’s rich diversity, SteelCraft Garden Grove continues its Summer Culture Series with this second installment celebrating Black culture. Look forward to a market of goods from Black makers in the community, food from SteelCraft eateries, live music, cultural performances, and more. Noon-8 p.m. 12900 Euclid St., Garden Grove.

Title Boxing Club Workout Class

Aug. 21. Break a sweat this weekend with a boxing fitness event by Title Boxing Club at SOCO and the OC Mix. Located next to the fountain in the courtyard area, the class is a 45-minute full body workout where participants will learn proper boxing stances, footwork and techniques. There will also be shadow boxing, interval training, mitt work and body weight exercises. For fans of plein air paintings (or art in general!), The Laguna Plein Air Painters Association welcomes guests to its new gallery that is located in the historic El Paseo center on Gallery Row between Jasmine and Myrtle. Pacific Chorale’s The Wayfaring Project

Mark your calendar for the world premiere of Pacific Chorale’s original concert film The Wayfaring Project in an outdoor screening on the Julianne and George Argyros Plaza at Segerstrom Center for the Arts. Toy Story in Concert
