The LOT Summer Drive-In Movie Series

Starts Aug. 13. We’ve got another (new!) drive-in movies series for you! The luxury cinema at Fashion Island, The LOT, presents a three-week outdoor drive-in movie experience on the top floor of parking deck near Bloomingdale’s and Nordstrom. Featured films this weekend are A Life of Endless Summers: The Bruce Brown Story (Aug. 13), Transformers: The Last Knight (Aug. 14) and The Goonies (Aug. 15, 16). Move Your Booty Virtual Race

Starts Aug. 15. Grab your favorite mode of human-powered transportation and get ready to move your booty with Ocean Institute! Summer Jazz Lunch at Bayside

Begins Aug. 15. The world renowned Irvine Barclay Theatre and local-favorite Newport Beach restaurant Bayside have partnered up for a special midday outdoor summer jazz series every Saturday through September 26. This week’s featured artist is Grammy-nominated vocalist Sara Gazarek (pictured) along with her three-man ensemble. Reservations required and are all-inclusive of lunch, tax, tip, and music. Aug. 15. Change up your Saturday morning routine with yoga … on the water! SoCal Paddle Yoga has partnered with Pirate Coast Paddle Company to bring SUP Yoga to Newport Beach where you can float atop a stable paddleboard while an instructor guides you through a basic flow of yoga postures linked with breath. Symphony on the Air: Beethoven’s Seventh

Aug 16. KUSC and Pacific Symphony present a complete broadcast music program, Symphony on the Air, to enjoy in the comfort of your own home with live recordings of Pacific Symphony’s 2019-20 Classical Series concerts. Selections from the Festival of Arts Permanent Art Collection

On View. The Festival of Arts in Laguna Beach presents its latest off-site exhibit, Selections from the Festival of Arts Permanent Art Collection, located within the exquisite Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel. This exhibit showcases both classical and contemporary works from the Festival’s permanent art collection in a variety of mediums such as painting, photography, ceramics, watercolor and printmaking.
