Rebelution Takes Over OC Fair

Aug. 11-13. Reggae sensation Rebelution bring their iconic sound to the OC Fair this weekend for what is sure to be a set of sold-out shows. Taquitos La Chata Finds a New Home

Aug. 10-13. One of Orange County’s most beloved purveyors of taquitos has a new home every weekend, as they now sell in Little Tijuana. Cruise through and enjoy all their fantastic flavors of taquitos as well as aqua frescas, and more. Thursday-Sunday, from 6 p.m.- midnight 2520 S Broadway, Santa Ana. Celebrate and Dance at Brea Fest

Aug. 11. The community is invited to sample delicious food and beverages donated from local restaurants while listening to live music – including a dueling piano show. Brea Fest admission and entertainment are free. Tickets that can be used for food and/or beverages are $4 each. Friday, 6:30 p.m. – 10 p.m. 1 Civic Center Cir, Brea.

A Children’s Summer Reading

Aug. 10. Join Orange County librarian Marie Twombly for a charming children’s book reading. Children who attend can participate in arts and crafts and tour the museum for free following the reading program. Paysages Voilés

Aug. 12. Experience the enchanting fusion of music and art as international soprano Deanna Breiwick and renowned pianist Cheryl Lin Fielding present an exquisite evening inspired by plein air art. This mesmerizing recital captures the essence of plein air painting through carefully selected musical pieces. Saturday, at 7 p.m. 307 Cliff Drive, Laguna Beach.

Chicano Masters Join Festival of the Arts

Now Showing.  It’s been 90 years since the first “living pictures” – and now, this summer’s production “Art Colony: In the Company of Artists” features two modern masters of Chicano art. Paintings by Los Angeles artists David Botello and Wayne Alaniz Healy are transformed into “living pictures” on the Pageant stage. Hours vary. 650 Laguna Canyon Rd., Laguna Beach.
