Los Angeles’ Eastside came out in force with delicious and diverse cuisine at Barnsdall Art Park in Los Feliz at Taste of the Eastside on May 6.

Highlights included food tastings from neighborhood eateries, cooking demonstrations, beer and wine garden, silent auction—all set on top of the hill at Barnsdall Park, which offered sweeping views of LA’s Eastside.

Lines formed early in the day at Good Girl Dinette, which offered pork and beef noodle salads; L&E Oyster Bar worked hard shucking thier fresh salty-sweet kumiai oysters, while Little Dom’s opted to BBQ their kumiais; and Mohawk Bend made everyone contemplate going vegan with their buffalo cauliflower. Not to be overlooked were VIP demos that included making delicious coffee at home by Intelligentsia Coffee, creating perfect punch by Marcos Tello, Evan Kleiman demonstrated how to make her famous beet and ricotta gnocci, and more.
