ECOLUXE Luxury Lounge: Summer’s Most Intentional Pre‑ESPYS Event Hits Beverly Hills

On July 15 at a gated Beverly Hills estate, veteran producer Debbie Durkin brought together athletes, actors, Olympians, pets for adoption, and wellness lovers in what might be the most elevated pre‑ESPYS lounge in town yet. But beneath the red carpets and celeb portraits lay something deeper: how luxe can still feel rooted—and purposeful.

Purpose Meets Play in LA

The ECOLUXE Luxury Lounge wasn’t an official ESPN event—but it felt every bit red‑carpet adjacent. Aiming to support Marley’s Mutts Dog Rescue Ranch, a 501(c)(3) organization led by Dr. Melissa Brunson, the lounge seamlessly let pups roam among designers, athletes, and creative leaders. Guests like actor Gilles Marini, Olympian Crystal Drew, NFL veterans Matt Vanderbeek and Keelan Doss, and others shared space with adoptable dogs—cutting across worlds, all in support of rescue and rehab efforts

There were yard games and surprise offerings like a mini-putt course from Celebrity Greens, complete with lunchtime competitions with prizes from LA Golf. “We wanted something fun and interactive—happy hour energy elevated to outdoor chic,” said an event organizer

Wellness with a Red Carpet Twist

At the edge of the pool deck stood the Integrative Peptides Wellness Lounge, run by Dr. Kent Holtorf, MD. Here, guests could rotate through red light therapy, PEMF treatment, ozone water & ginger shots, peptide consultations, and refurbished with muscle-enhancing bioregulators. It sounded clinical—but in practice it felt indulgent, a spa experience woven into the entertainment floor

Luxury Meets Philanthropy

DJ William Reed kept the vibe laid-back yet energetic, spun across outdoor lounges and green spaces. In the shade, guests mingled with representatives from Man Labs Skincare, testing Titan Sport Kits for Men—mini facials courtesy of celebrity estheticians Shekinah Garner and Sarper Guven, and visible results to match

Portrait duty was handled by David Christopher Lee—shooting “Summer Portraits” that mixed Hollywood polish with everyday humanity. Food was no afterthought either: Detroit’s Sly Fox Pizzaiolo served wood-fired pizzas, pasta, and salad, prompting one guest to call it “the best pizza of my life.” Dessert came via Anita’s Kitchen Co., offering Southern-style bites sweet enough for a second lap around the space

When thirst hit, guests turned to BLOWFISH Tequila, refreshing in its purity and complemented by bottles of Waiakea Hawaiian volcanic water—a combo made for sun-soaked sips that tasted like a good time

For an unexpected flourish, a psychic medium, Lynn Darmon, set up a cozy corner offering readings—adding a little spiritual flair to an afternoon already packed with purpose

Celebrities, Athletes, and Ambassadors United

The lounge checklist read like a who’s-who: Jasmin Davis from The ChiDonovan Carter from Ballers, snowboarder Brittany GilmanJujutsu Kaisen‘s Adam McArthur, and creators like Skully Godd and Grizzy Great were all in attendance, blending into an ethos that felt inclusive and real, while quietly packed with star power

This wasn’t about selfies or branded panels—it was about blending impact with ambiance. Debbie Durkin’s ECOLUXE Lounge is proof that high-sheen hospitality can hold space for purpose. From wellness to wood-fired pizza, psychic chats to puppy adoption, everything felt intentional—not forced. It’s the kind of scene L.A. excels at hosting: aspirational and approachable, sparkling yet grounded in next-level community care.
