Nights of The Jack Returns

Starts Sept. 30. Take a stroll through the grounds of King Gillette Ranch as thousands of hand-carved jack-o-lanterns light up the Santa Monica Mountains hideaway. Oct. 1-2. Known as Comic-Con for cat lovers, CatCon brings feline-friendly speakers, meet and greets, art exhibitions, workshops and more on all things cat-related to the Pasadena Convention Center. National Sake Day at Moto Ramen

Oct. 1. In honor of National Sake Day, Moto Ramen will be hosting a sake tasting night with sake purveyor Kerry Tamura of World Sake Imports. Magari Launches New Pizza Menu

Now Open. Hollywood’s Tokyo Italian restaurant Magari has launched a new menu called Pizze. Chef Enrico Merendino created the menu with classic Italian ingredients and Japanese-inspired twists. Hansei by Chris Ono

Now Open. Little Tokyo’s Japanese American Cultural & Community Center serves up a “transitional” dining experience at Hansei. Enjoy shochu-infused drinks and small bites on the outdoor terrace before moving inside to the chef’s counter to prepare for a wagyu steak dinner.
