Nights of The Jack Returns

Starts Sept. 30. Take a stroll through the grounds of King Gillette Ranch as thousands of hand-carved jack-o-lanterns light up the Santa Monica Mountains hideaway. CatCon

Oct. 1-2. Known as Comic-Con for cat lovers, CatCon brings feline-friendly speakers, meet and greets, art exhibitions, workshops and more on all things cat-related to the Pasadena Convention Center. Witch!

Starts Sept. 30. This immersive retelling of the Pendle witch trials of 1612, staged in an Altadena cemetery, reveals a sleepy English town descending into madness. National Sake Day at Moto Ramen

Oct. 1. In honor of National Sake Day, Moto Ramen will be hosting a sake tasting night with sake purveyor Kerry Tamura of World Sake Imports. While guests enjoy traditional ramen such as black garlic tonkotsu, Kerry will pour and educate them on Moto Ramen’s new sakes. Magari Launches New Pizza Menu

Now Open. Hollywood’s Tokyo Italian restaurant Magari has launched a new menu called Pizze. Chef Enrico Merendino created the menu with classic Italian ingredients and Japanese-inspired twists. Hansei by Chris Ono

Now Open. Little Tokyo’s Japanese American Cultural & Community Center serves up a “transitional” dining experience at Hansei. Enjoy shochu-infused drinks and small bites on the outdoor terrace before moving inside to the chef’s counter to prepare for a wagyu steak dinner. Mozart and Orbón with Dudamel
