Fall comes to the Front Yard

Nov. 13. The Front Yard is hosting a fall block party with live music by the Rick Cowling Duo, a pop-up shopping soiree, gourmet samplings and beer and wine tastings. Nov. 11-20. The Tik-Tok beauty brand is hosting their first-ever consumer pop up on Melrose Avenue. Doughbrik’s Pizza Grand Debut

Nov. 12. New Experiences at BALEENkitchen

Now Open. The restaurant and bar overlooking the Redondo Beach marina is rolling out new tastes for the holiday season. Menu highlights are the spicy calamari sjillo, hot crab dip with dungeness crab, and housemade tagliatelle bolognese. Nossa Caipirinha Bar Hits Hillhurst

Now Open. Inspired by the neighborhood bars of Brazil, Nossa Caipirinha showcases classic Brazilian cuisine and drinks. The restaurant serves variations of the their namesake cocktail alongside classic Brazilian bar snacks like pão de queijo (cheese bread), xixo (grilled skewers) and coxinhas (croquettes) in addition to salads and larger dishes like a traditional prawn moqueca baiana (seafood stew). KCRW DJ Jeremy Sole is taking over the turntables to spin his personal collection of Brazilian vinyl from 7-11pm on November 16, December 7 and December 14. Caribbean Nocturnes for Veterans Day

Get Lit at the Arboretum

Starts Nov. 11. Internationally acclaimed Lightscape is back by popular demand starting Friday with the U.S. premiere of three installations: will-o’-the-wisp, whole hole and the laser garden. Open Flowers Bear Fruit
