Taste of Israel

L.A. Design Festival
June 7-10. This 8th annual fest celebrates the City of Angel’s status as a global design capital. Hollywood Fringe Festival
June 7-24. This annual event celebrates freedom of expression and collaboration in the performing arts community. Theaters, parks, clubs, churches, restaurants and other unexpected places throughout Hollywood host hundreds of productions by local, national and international arts companies and independent performers. FIGFest
June 8, 15, 22. Celebrate the start of summer at this 6th annual music series in DTLA. This year’s eclectic lineup—a curated collaboration between Spaceland Presents and Arts Brookfield—includes New York R&B duo Lion Babe (June 8), sultry soundscapes from Gabriel Garzón-Montano (June 15) and SoCal rock band Wavves (June 22). Rosé Day LA
June 9. Head to the picturesque Santa Monica Mountains for a day of picnicking and cheersing with sparkling wines. L.A. Pride Festival
June 9-10. Part of L.A. Pride Week, West Hollywood’s annual festival feting the LGBTQ+ community features concerts by the likes of Icona Pop, Kehlani, Eve, Tove Lo and more. The Pride Parade, which travels along Santa Monica Boulevard in West Hollywood, attracts hundreds of thousands of spectators. Playboy Jazz Festival
June 9-10. Head to the iconic Hollywood Bowl for this 40th annual fest featuring a first-rate slate of emerging jazz artists alongside renowned performers. Confirmed acts on the bill include Charles Lloyd & the Marvels with Lucinda Williams featuring Julian Lage, Reuben Rogers, Eric Harland and Greg Leisz; The Ramsey Lewis Quartet; Lee Ritenour and Dave Grusin; and more. Jeweled Brown Butter Rice Gelato
Through June 28. The duo behind Los Feliz Mediterranean hot spot Kismet has partnered with local ice cream purveyor Salt & Straw for a new June flavor. Chefs Sara Kramer and Sarah Hymanson reflected on their jeweled crispy rice for this collaboration, resulting in a tasty gelato with pumpkin seed caramel and verjus-cured currants.
