L.A. Opera’s Living Room Recitals
July 30. Miss watching opera performances in person? L.A. Opera is bringing opera directly into your home with the Living Room Recital program as part of LAO at Home. This Thursday is the virtual company debut of soprano Latonia Moore, a star at the Metropolitan Opera, with pianist Roberto Berrocal for the Letter Scene from Eugene Onegin—an aria from Puccini’s little known Edgar—and songs by Rachmaninoff and the early 20th-century American composer Wintter Watts. 4 p.m. laopera.org

Measure for Measure

Shakes on the Deck has created an interactive Zoom experience in which you can watch a live and socially distanced production from multiple seats in the house in the space beneath the Kimpton Everly Hotel. The play features six (masked) who remain six feet from one another and gives the audience the power to choose which perspective they would like to watch from.
