Peacock’s THE TRAITORS Experience

Jan. 19-21. Immerse yourself in a perilous world of competitive gameplay, inspired by Peacock’s “The Traitors,” set in a sprawling manor in the heart of Los Angeles. This experience engages you in a series of intense puzzles such as navigating a scarecrow-laden corn maze, discovering hidden clues in a haunted study and skillfully avoiding lasers in a climactic battle. Forest Lawn Celebrates Black History Month

Jan. 17. Glendale honors Black History Month at Forest Lawn with a complimentary, family-oriented event. The celebration includes a community resource fair, an exclusive arts showcase and speeches from distinguished guests honoring African American heritage and luminaries. Pasadena Cheeseburger Week

Starts Jan. 21. One afternoon in 1924 at Pasadena’s Rite Spot, Lionel Sternberger changed the culinary world by adding a slice of American cheese to a hamburger, thus creating the first cheeseburger. Now Pasadena celebrates this invention with an array of burger deals and special creations at several local restaurants. Japanese Spirit Shochu Experience Month

Starts Jan. 18. L.A. marks its third annual Shochu Month as it celebrates traditional Japanese spirit, with a series of specialty cocktails and live events. Dudamel Leads Das Rheingold

50th Anniversary of the Getty Villa Museum

Now Open. Intrigued by the classical world, J. Paul Getty established a Roman-style villa, now known as the Getty Villa Museum in Pacific Palisades on January 16, 1974. In honor of this 50th anniversary, the Villa is offering daily 45-minute tours that explore the artworks acquired by J. Paul Getty.
