Peacock’s THE TRAITORS Experience

Forest Lawn Celebrates Black History Month

Jan. 17. Glendale honors Black History Month at Forest Lawn with a complimentary, family-oriented event. The celebration includes a community resource fair, an exclusive arts showcase and speeches from distinguished guests honoring African American heritage and luminaries. Starts Jan. 21. One afternoon in 1924 at Pasadena’s Rite Spot, Lionel Sternberger changed the culinary world by adding a slice of American cheese to a hamburger, thus creating the first cheeseburger. Now Pasadena celebrates this invention with an array of burger deals and special creations at several local restaurants. Japanese Spirit Shochu Experience Month

Starts Jan. 18. L.A. marks its third annual Shochu Month as it celebrates traditional Japanese spirit, with a series of specialty cocktails and live events. Dudamel Leads Das Rheingold

50th Anniversary of the Getty Villa Museum
