Life is Wonderful, Live

Through Jan. 3. Rogue Machine brings Frank Capra’s iconic holiday film, It’s a Wonderful Life, to the stage in this hilarious and heartwarming one-person show starring Leo Marks. New Year’s Eve Fireworks in Marina del Rey

Dec. 31. Say “Bon Voyage, 2021″ as this seaside community brings back both its Marina Lights at Burton Chace Park and the annual Marina del Rey fireworks display. Enjoy food and drink specials to ring in the new year at popular waterfront restaurants, hotels and yachts. The shows will be shot from the Marina’s south jetty and can be viewed from virtually anywhere in Marina del Rey, Venice Pier, Playa Vista and Dockweiler Beach. 9 p.m. and midnight. MDR

Through Jan. 7. The annual LA Kings Holiday Ice brings outdoor ice skating to L.A. LIVE on Xbox Plaza right out front of newly rebranded Crypto.com Arena. Skate your way into the new year. Dec. 31. Ocean Prime Beverly Hills is offering their very popular and seasonal holiday sea bass and lobster risotto for $69, plus the signature Berries & Bubbles cocktail. It features Belvedere Citrus Vodka, marinated blackberries, fresh lemon, Domaine Chandon Brut and dry-ice smoke. Unique to the Beverly Hills location is the Merry Old Fashioned, a fun riff on the classic cocktail with bourbon, citrus, and a special spiced honey. Dec. 31. The Bungalow Kitchen is offering two seatings for its special prix-fixe dinners on New Year’s Eve. The first seating ($105 per guest) begins at 5:30 p.m. with a three-course menu offering a choice of starters like Kona Kanpachi Crudo or Snow Crab Spaghetti Arrabbiata, and entrees like Roasted Maine Sea Scallops with sunchoke mousseline or Charcoal-Grilled Filet Mignon with black truffle and duck fat potato pave. The 8 p.m. seating, ($250) spreads into a decadent five-course dinner complete with upgrades like Michael Mina Reserve Caviar. New Year’s Day Brunch in Beverly Hills

Jan. 1. Welcome 2022 and the Beverly Wilshire Hotel’s 94th birthday with a decadent brunch. Hand-cut French toast, Turkish Gozleme flatbread, wagyu-steak shawarma and sea-bass ceviche are only a few of the special menu items.
