Head in the Clouds

Aug. 5-6. The pan-Asian music and media collective, 88rising, has chosen the area surrounding the Rose Bowl as the permanent location for its summer music festival. After previous editions at L.A. State Historic Park and Coachella, this year’s festival will showcase headliners such as DPR Live, DPR Ian, Jackson Wang, NIKI, Rich Brian, Rina Sawayama, XG, YOASOBI, and Zedd. Avocado Fest at Angel City Brewery

Aug. 6. Angel City Brewery in the Arts District returns with its popular annual Avocado Fest. Prosperity Market’s Third Annual Black Business Scavenger Hunt 

Aug. 1-25. In celebration of Black Business Month, Prosperity Market is organizing its annual Black Business Scavenger Hunt. The event offers a curated interactive map featuring over 75 Black-owned enterprises spanning the food, fashion, wellness, and entertainment sectors. Participants are encouraged to explore LA, discovering new restaurants, retail stores, and more, thereby offering their support to the local Black business community. “Toast To Summer” at Bourbon Steakhouse

“Swift Quake” takes over SoFi Stadium

Aug. 3-9. Taylor Swift’s “Eras Tour” is a concert series celebrating the different phases of Swift’s musical career. Each concert is designed to bring to life a specific era in her discography, with setlists and stage designs inspired by the albums of that time. The “Eras Tour” includes songs from her self-titled debut album all the way to her recent works, such as “Evermore” and “Folklore.” Special guest appearances from HAIM, OWENN, Gracie Abrams and more. Designed to both conserve and highlight the Pier’s cultural heritage, the tour offers an exploration of the Pier’s transformative journey through time. You will be guided through key historical events, stories and iconic landmarks that have collectively crafted the Pier into the esteemed symbol it is today.
