Cruisin’ Brea Classic Car Show

June 21. Downtown Brea will rev up for Father’s Day as Cruisin’ Brea returns with one of Orange County’s largest car shows, featuring an impressive collection of classic cars, hot rods, customs, and specialty vehicles from across Southern California. Produced by Flying Deuces, the longtime community event combines automotive culture with live entertainment, exhibits, shopping, dining, and family-friendly activities throughout the day. Guests are also encouraged to bring a canned food donation to support the Orange County Food Bank, adding a charitable element to the Father’s Day festivities. Baroque Music Festival

June 21-28. The annual Baroque Music Festival returns this June, celebrating the richness and diversity of music from the Baroque era through five performances over eight days. Founded in 1981, the festival showcases large-scale orchestral and vocal works alongside intimate chamber music and solo recitals, all performed by leading artists specializing in historically informed performance. From grand Sunday concerts to midweek programs highlighting the artistry of individual musicians, the festival offers audiences a rare opportunity to experience centuries-old music brought vividly to life. Books at Bowers: The Big Sleep by Raymond Chandler

June 18. The classic novel. The Big Sleep, by author Raymond Chandler featuring Private Investigator Philip Marlowe is the first in its series. Published in 1939 this crime novel has been voted #62 of the best 100 novels of the century and nominee for several awards including Best Ever Crime Novel.
