Jan. 29.Feb. 1. Happening amid the 70th anniversary of the Disneyland® Resort, come enjoy miles of smiles during a 5K hosted by Joy from Disney and Pixar’s Inside Out. Join Sorcerer’s Apprentice Mickey in an imaginative 10K. Run together with a friend as part of an “it’s a small world®” attraction-themed half marathon. And, for the ultimate achievement, take on the Dumbo Double Dare challenge made up of both the 10K and the half marathon. Locations and Event Information

Surf City USA Marathon

Feb. 1. This award-winning, Boston-Qualifying, course is considered one of the best courses in the country and is well known for being scenic and flat. Runners come from all over to experience this exhilarating run. The race starts along the Pacific Coast Highway and passes by the famous Huntington Beach pier. Huntington Beach. Taste of San Juan

Jan. 29. Hosted by the San Juan Capistrano Fiesta Association, the 32nd annual Taste of San Juan officially kicks off the celebration of Fiesta de las Golondrinas with a citywide culinary showcase. The event brings together local restaurants and chefs offering savory and sweet tastings, with guests invited to vote for their favorite dish as one restaurant takes home the trophy, all set to live music by Bravo Whiskey. Murder Mystery Scavenger Hunt

Jan. 31. Designed for adults, this hosted, team-based competition challenges participants to solve a murder through logic, observation, and deduction—no app required. Teams receive a suspect list and a packet of riddles, puzzles, and clues that guide them on foot through Downtown Huntington Beach, with each stop revealing new evidence until the culprit is identified. A live host and helpline support the experience, making it ideal for locals and visitors alike; the difficulty level is best suited for teens and adults rather than young children. Tanzanite African Acrobats

Jan. 31. The Tanzanite African Acrobats perform gravity defying stunts while simultaneously displaying the traditional beauty of the Tanzanian culture of East Africa. The performance will include human pyramids, dish spinning, stick balance, contortion, chair balance, unicycling, juggling, hand-to-hand balance, pole acts, hoop diving, as well as comedy and more. Each acrobat has graduated from the Baba Watoto School for Performing Arts which is internationally renowned for producing the highest quality performers.
