Last Call: Enchanted Forest of Light

Until Jan. 4. Finishing this weekend, a beloved holiday tradition transforms Descanso Gardens into a glowing nighttime escape built around discovery and wonder. The immersive experience features 10 illuminated installations that blend hands-on art with atmospheric, luminescent forests, set against uplit trees and shimmering soundscapes. Returning this year is the garden’s whimsical model railroad, lit for the season and filled with miniature recreations of Enchanted’s most recognizable installations, making this the last chance to take it all in before the lights go dark. Last Call: Grand Illuminations at California Plaza

Until Jan. 4. Downtown L.A.’s California Plaza becomes a luminous holiday landmark with Grand Illuminations, a free, large-scale light installation designed to pull people into the public space after dark. Highlights include a 25-foot LED tree, the immersive Lumiverse display and the towering Electric Dandelions kinetic sculptures by L.A.-based art collective Liquid PXL. Until Jan. 4. If you’ll follow wherever Gilmore Girls leads, this weekend marks the final chance to step into Stars Hollow during the studio’s Holidays Made Here experience. Running as a seasonal enhancement to the Warner Bros. Studio Tour Hollywood, the festively dressed backlot brings the gazebo and Luke’s Diner to life, where guests can sip coffee or cocoa from Scott Patterson’s own brand—often with Patterson himself appearing in person each afternoon.
