Rodeo Drive Holiday Lighting Celebration

Nov. 13. Beverly Hills ushers in the season with the annual Rodeo Drive Holiday Lighting Celebration, transforming its palm-lined streets into a festive dreamscape under the theme “Enchanted Holiday Dreams,” inspired by The Nutcracker. Nutcracker and ballerina ornaments in gold, blue, red, and white will shimmer beneath cascading lights, with wrapped tree trunks and glowing white rose bushes adding a romantic, storybook glow. The free celebration features live performances by Chris Mann, Hugh Sheridan, James Tormé and more, along with costumed characters, stilt ballerinas, carolers and the arrival of Santa, ending in a fireworks finale. The Music Center’s Innovation Social: Connection Through Movement

Nov. 14. An immersive blend of dance, physical expression, and emerging technology awaits at Innovation Social: Connection through Movement, where artists use AI, motion capture, game engines, and digital storytelling to explore how movement connects us across cultures and generations. Through live performances, interactive installations, and sound-driven works, the event reveals how the body serves as a bridge between history, innovation, and collective experience. L.A. Zoo’s Animals Aglow

Starts Nov. 13. The L.A. Zoo keeps its gates open after dark for Animals Aglow, a luminous holiday tradition running on select nights through January. Guests can wander a vibrant trail filled with oversized animal-shaped lanterns, from wildlife and birds to butterflies and insects, each brought to life with gentle movement and animation. This year introduces new lanterns and light displays highlighting the animals of Southeast Asia and Africa, along with interactive moments like illuminated swings and a kaleidoscopic mirror shell perfect for dancing or photos. Redbird Unveils a Refreshed Lounge and New Bar Menu

Now Serving. A polished redesign sets the stage for Redbird’s new bar menu, where elevated comfort dishes—housemade chips with French onion dip, tempura rock shrimp with yuzu kosho tartar, and a wagyu burger with beer cheese—land between $4–$22. Drinks range from expertly crafted cocktails to approachable beers and wines ($8–$15). DTLA Oyster Festival

Nov. 15-16. Oyster lovers can head to Grand Central Market for the return of the DTLA Oyster Festival, curated by shellfish expert Christophe Happillon of The Oyster Gourmet. The two-day tasting invites guests to slurp their way through a wide range of West Coast oysters, sourced from California to Alaska, while meeting the farmers behind each harvest. Champagne and Fried Chicken at Queen’s

Nov. 16. Eaglerock’s Queen’s Raw Bar & Grill welcomes Champagne grower and winemaker Etienne Calsac for a one-night-only dinner featuring champagne poured by the glass from a Jeroboam—a wickedly huge bottle perfect for the occasion. Guests can dig into Queen’s signature fried chicken and expect a few surprises, including a bit of sneaky caviar making the rounds. Vesti Launches First-Ever Residency at Maydan Market

Now Open. The popular Maydan Market in West Adams hosts Vesti for a six-week residency at Club 104, giving chefs Shane Lyons and Adam Gertler their first dedicated home after years of catering and specialty shop appearances. The Italian-American concept brings housemade focaccia sandwiches, pan pizzas, and market-exclusive dishes like fired-to-order pizzas, Calabrian chili chicken wings with Point Reyes blue cheese dip, and hot sandwiches including a Wagyu steak and mortadella slab. Guests can also experience Vesti’s counter-only “Eating Menu,” an open-ended tasting-style service that flows with on- and off-menu dishes—from Australian Wagyu to housemade chips with caviar. Paranormal Activity Live on Stage

The Broad × L.A. Taco Community Day

Nov. 15. The Broad teams up with L.A. Taco for a free community celebration of art, activism and the flavors that define Los Angeles. The day includes indoor DJ sets from Chulita Vinyl Club, open access to the museum’s third-floor galleries and food for purchase from Evil Cooks, Frontera, and Distrito 14. Inside Oculus Hall, an RSVP-required conversation—featuring L.A.
