Los Angeles Haunted Hayride 2025 at Griffith Park with Elvira

Sept. 19-Nov. 2. The Los Angeles Haunted Hayride returns to Griffith Park for its 17th year, transforming the town of Midnight Falls with Elvira, Mistress of the Dark, now in residence. Expect a lengthy hayride through witch-summoned creatures, Elvira-themed attractions like Trick or Treat Mayhem and the Scary-Go-Round, plus food, drinks and cozy lounges. The Wild Robot Outdoor Movie at The Huntington

Sept. 19. The Huntington concludes its family-friendly outdoor movie series with “The Wild Robot,” shown on the lawn in front of the Library. Gates open an hour before the film, with hands-on activities and themed concessions for purchase (no outside alcohol permitted). Pack a picnic, bring a blanket and enjoy the evening under the stars. “La La Land” in Concert

Upon many requests, the La La Land in Concert returns to LA State Historic Park for two nights, featuring composer Justin Hurwitz conducting a 53-piece orchestra and jazz ensemble performing the film’s Oscar-winning score and songs live to picture. Until. Sept. 20. Founded in 2004 and led by trombonist Adam Rundquist, Conjunto Oye! brings its high-energy “Nuyorican” salsa to LA Plaza de Cultura y Artes as part of the Summer of Salsa series. Looks Delicious! Japan’s Food Replica Culture Exhibition Opens at JAPAN HOUSE LA

Now Open. The newest exhibition at JAPAN HOUSE Los Angeles is finally here, marking the first U.S. exhibition devoted entirely to the art of shokuhin sampuru—hyper-realistic Japanese food replicas. This immersive exhibit, curated by Simon Wright of Japan House London in collaboration with Iwasaki (a leading food-replica manufacturer), features specially commissioned models for each of Japan’s 47 prefectures, hands-on bentō-making, craft demonstrations and galleries on the history, manufacturing, display and cultural impact of food replicas.
