July 12-13. Echo Park Lake’s annual Lotus Festival is back, celebrating Asian American contributions to Los Angeles with a vibrant weekend of food, music, dance and cultural pride. This year’s 44th edition honors the Korean community and includes a new Lotus 5K Run/Walk on Sunday and the return of the enchanting Lights of Dreams Festival with floating lanterns (1:30–9 p.m.). Belly Laughs Comedy & Food Festival at L.A. Live

July 12-13. This new festival at L.A. Live brings together the sharpest voices in Asian American comedy with the boldest flavors from L.A.’s food scene. Elephant Parade Takes Over Beverly Hills for Month-Long Art & Conservation Showcase

Until Aug. 1. A herd of 100 life-sized elephant sculptures has marched into Beverly Gardens Park for a striking outdoor art installation in Beverly Hills. Spanning four blocks and free to the public, this immersive exhibit blends art and conservation, featuring sculptures crafted from invasive lantana by Indigenous artisans from India’s Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve—each modeled after real elephants. After a 5,000-mile journey across the U.S., the installation lands in L.A. for its final month.
