Golda Zahra at the Beverly Canon Gardens
May 24. Award-winning classical singer Golda Zahra brings her golden voice to The Beverly Canon Gardens for a free community concert under the stars. Joined by a six-piece ensemble, Golda will perform an enchanting set of vocal classics, jazz standards, Broadway favorites, and more. Guests are encouraged to arrive early with blankets and low chairs for seating on the lawn (first-come, first-served) and are welcome to bring a picnic to enjoy during the show. Beverly Hills Art Show
May 17-18. For over 50 years, this twice-yearly outdoor festival has brought together artists and art lovers at Beverly Gardens Park. Spanning four blocks near Rodeo Drive, this spring’s edition will showcase 235 artists displaying everything from paintings and photography to ceramics and sculpture. LA Art Book Fair
May 15-18. Printed Matter returns with the beloved L.A. Art Book Fair, a dynamic celebration of independent publishing and artist-made books. Held across the South Campus of ArtCenter College of Design in Pasadena, the fair brings together hundreds of international publishers, presses and artists offering zines, rare monographs, experimental catalogs and more. May 18. CicLAvia marks its 60th Open Streets celebration with a pedestrian-focused festival through Pico Union. The California Science Center debuts Playing With Science, a dynamic 17,000-square-foot exhibition that explores the biomechanics, physics and sheer joy of human movement through sports.
