Orange County Soccer Club’s Beer Fest

Sept. 3. Cheers to the weekend at Orange County Soccer Club’s second Beer Fest of 2021 inside Championship Soccer Stadium. Attendees will not only have access to the Beer Fest but also the game between Orange County Soccer Club and El Paso Locomotive FC. There will be one last Beer Fest on Oct. 2 with a game against Phoenix Rising FC. Must be 21+ with valid ID. Bonsai Class: Kusamono Display Workshop

Sept. 4. Spruce up your plant life at home with a special bonsai class hosted by Debra Mauzy-Melitz from Orange County Bonsai Society at Sherman Library & Gardens. This in-depth workshop will introduce attendees to the culture, history, rules and techniques of Kusamono display and then encourage them to design their own display to reflect their own creativity. Beyond Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience

Through Sept. 12. Be transported into iconic Post-Impressionist painter’s world at this all-new experience at the Anaheim Convention Center. Created by French-Canadian creative director Mathieu St-Arnaud and his team at Montreal’s world-renowned Normal Studio, this experience features more than 300 of Vincent van Gogh’s iconic artworks through a three-dimensional lens. Guests can walkthrough an exclusively designed space that will make them become one of the brush strokes on his colorful canvasses. Sung Yong Tark Exhibit at Muzeo

Through Sept. 5. Don’t miss your chance to view Korean master calligrapher Sung Yong Tark’s Passing Through Life with Brushes, Chisels, & Clays: Traditional and Abstract Calligraphy before it closes this Sunday at Muzeo Museum and Cultural Center. This exhibit serves as a retrospective of Tark’s practice over the past 35 years and is different from many calligraphy surveys because of the many works written in Hangul, the Korean language and one that is the most scientific phonetic language system in the world. Matthew Rolston’s Art People: The Pageant Portraits

Through Sept. 19. Laguna Art Museum presents artist, photographer, and video director Matthew Rolston’s first institutional solo exhibition on the West Coast, Art People: The Pageant Portraits. This exhibit features Rolston’s larger-than-life, strangely haunting photographs of participants in Laguna Beach’s world-renowned Pageant of the Masters, known for its elaborate tableau vivant presentations.
