USA Surfing West Coast Toyota Prime Series
Feb. 20-21. Hang loose this weekend in Huntington Beach at the USA Surfing’s West Coast competition. Taking place on the south side of the pier, this year’s event draws more than 100 of the best under 18 junior surfers. The Toyota USA Surfing Prime Series is the highest level of junior surfing in the nation, and is now an official part of the Olympic Development Program as recognized by the US Olympic and Paralympic Committee. usasurfing.org

Wellness Workshop: African Dance

The Outsiders
Opens Feb. 19. Laguna Playhouse presents S.E. Hinton’s The Outsiders, a gritty coming-of-age story that follows the “Greasers,” narrator Ponyboy Curtis, and his friends as they navigate teenage angst and class warfare in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Online Presentation with Alton Fitzgerald White
Feb. 20. Join Bowers Museum for a special program featuring Alton Fitzgerald White, who starred in six smash-hit Broadway shows including his record-breaking run as King Mufasa in Disney’s The Lion King.
