ā€ØAug. 23-25. The largest Disney fan event in the world, D23 Expo celebrates all the wonderful worlds of the Walt Disney Co. under one roof. Those worlds include Marvel, Pixar and Star Wars as well as DisneyĀ across film, television, theme parks, products, online, music and live entertainment. 8:15 a.m.-9 p.m. See website for ticket prices. Celebrating the golden age of early California history and the American West, contestants compete in six hair-raising events at the 19th annual event where all proceeds benefit local charities. Events include saddled bronc, bareback and bull riding, steer wrestling, and tie-down and team roping. Aug. 25. Pamper your pooches at the Outlet at San Clemente’s 4th annual celebration of National Dog Day. Sip on cold beer from brewing companies including Artifex, Dog Pawrk, Left Coast, Lost Winds, Stereo Brewing and Towne Park, or a handcrafted cocktail while the pups imbibe a specially crafted non-alcoholic dog beer.
