D23 Expo
Aug. 23-25. The largest Disney fan event in the world, D23 Expo celebrates all the wonderful worlds of the Walt Disney Co. under one roof. Rancho Mission Viejo Rodeo
Aug. 24-25. Celebrating the golden age of early California history and the American West, contestants compete in six hair-raising events at the 19th annual event where all proceeds benefit local charities. Events include saddled bronc, bareback and bull riding, steer wrestling, and tie-down and team roping. Barks and Brews
Aug. 25. Pamper your pooches at the Outlet at San Clemente’s 4th annual celebration of National Dog Day. Sip on cold beer from brewing companies including Artifex, Dog Pawrk, Left Coast, Lost Winds, Stereo Brewing and Towne Park, or a handcrafted cocktail while the pups imbibe a specially crafted non-alcoholic dog beer. Now Available. The Mayor’s Table has unveiled new cocktails and dinner items crafted created by executive chef/partner Riley Huddleston. Now on the menu are toy-box melon salad, watermelon gazpacho, summer peach salad, pan-roasted scallops and Prime bone-in ribeye. The Ranch x Golden Road Brewery Dinner
Aug. 22. Executive chef Michael Rossi of the Ranch Restaurant & Saloon collaborates with brewmaster Victor Novak of Golden Road Brewing for a six-course beer dinner. The menu includes miniature Baja fish tacos and octopus cocktail paired with Golden Road’s K-38 Clara, Muscovy duck breast paired with In Bruges and red-deer venison chop with Get Up Offa That Brown. Taste of Brews Long Beach
