Modern Well-Being Day
March 7. Treat your body and mind to a day dedicated to wellness, fitness and self-care. In partnership with Local Mercato, Los Angeles’ second annual Modern Well-Being Day will be full of hands-on workshops, ear seeding, mindful meditation and workouts from dance cardio to yoga. Plus, learn from the experts at lessons like “Ayurnedic Nutrion” and “Women: Know Your Normal.” High-performance bites and beverages will be served along with a nutritious lunch prepared by the Griffin Club’s chef. 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Non-members $90, members $75. L.A. Marathon
March 8. Established in 1986, the city’s famed race is still going strong, attracting thousands of runners from around the world who take on the “Stadium to the Sea” course. Cafe del Rey x Heal the Bay’s Collaborative Dish
Now Available. For a limited time only, Marina del Rey’s harbor-side restaurant Cafe del Rey is teaming up with nonprofit Heal the Bay for a delicious sustainable dish. For the rest of the month, enjoy crispy Arctic char with potato nest, blistered heirloom cherry tomatoes, white asparagus, icicle radishes, a fried quail egg and herb vinaigrette. Fifteen percent of the profits will benefit Santa Monica-based organization Heal the Bay to draw awareness for sustainability and ocean-friendly lifestyle practices.
