The starting line doesn’t look the same at night. The air shifts, the city hums differently, and for a few hours, the streets belong to runners moving in sync under neon light and open sky. In 2026, Nike brings that energy back with the return of the After Dark Tour—a global race series designed for women, where performance meets culture, and the finish line feels more like a shared moment than a final step.
Now in its second year, the Nike After Dark Tour expands across seven major cities—Shanghai, Sydney, Mexico City, London, Los Angeles, Manila, and Mumbai—continuing a broader effort to bring more women into sport through experiences designed around connection, confidence, and self-expression. Each stop carries its own identity, but the structure remains consistent: 10Ks and half marathons that welcome runners of all backgrounds and abilities to step forward together.
The concept builds on a legacy that stretches back two decades. Between 2005 and 2015, Nike’s women’s race series activated cities around the world, creating early spaces for community-driven running. That foundation returned in 2025 with the launch of the After Dark Tour, drawing more than 50,000 participants across five continents. One in three runners were first-timers. Nearly half signed up specifically for a women-centered race experience. The demand was clear, and the response in 2026 is bigger, more global, and more intentional.

At its core, the tour blends sport with culture. Each race unfolds as a full evening experience—pre-race gatherings, energy along the course, and post-race celebrations that extend beyond the finish line. It’s structured, but not rigid. Competitive, but not exclusive. The tone invites runners to move at their own pace while still feeling part of something shared.

Los Angeles, set to host a half marathon, becomes one of the tour’s defining stops. A city built on movement—whether along the coast, through neighborhoods, or across its sprawling streets—transforms at night into a different kind of course. The experience is less about chasing a time and more about being present in it, surrounded by thousands moving with the same intention.
Nike also uses the platform to highlight its latest performance innovations, bringing elite-level technology into everyday running gear. The same systems designed for top athletes are built into the apparel and footwear worn on these courses, reinforcing a broader idea: access to performance should not be limited by experience level.
Registration details are expected to roll out soon, and early interest is already building. For those looking to be part of it, the first step is simple: sign up, stay ready, and wait for the city lights to come on.
