My visit to ADKT was nothing short of a great experience, from the valet service that greeted me upon arrival to the flight of steps that led me into the heart of this Parisian themed restaurant. The live band’s jazzy twist on pop music, the visually stunning decor and the French-Asian fusion dishes all contributed to an evening that was both intimate and unique. This speakeasy-style gem, inspired by the allure of a Parisian Supper Club, seamlessly melds the worlds of entertainment and food into a cohesive narrative.
The ambiance of ADKT, with its Parisian-style boudoir art, chic velvet-cushioned booths, and maroon hues, sets the stage for an evening of elegance and excitement. The live music programming, ranging from house DJs spinning French lounge music to live bands, ensures that the atmosphere is electric, offering guests a taste of Parisian nightlife without ever leaving West Hollywood.
The French-Asian fusion dishes, from the Wagyu Steak Tartare to the Scallop Carpaccio, were great starters to the main meal. The Chateaubriand, a tender cut of Black Opal Farms Wagyu, and the fresh Maine Lobster served in a creamy bisque, were highlights of a menu that features the restaurant’s creativity and precision. How could I ever forget their Seafood Tower, presented in a golden floral decorated holder, perfect for that cute snaps to share with your friends.
The beverage program, curated by Bar Director Nathan Oliver, who was renowned for his tenure at Hollywood’s acclaimed Harvard & Stone and No Vacancy, was both creative and visually stunning. Oliver’s signature cocktails, such as the Bisou Bisou—a delectable mix of Diplomatico Reserva Rum, pineapple gomethe, absinthe, mint lime and cinnamon—and the Pause Café, a unique twist on the espresso martini featuring Toki Japanese Whiskey, perfectly complemented the restaurant’s dishes. A standout experience was the preparation of the Old Fashioned in Paris, a spectacle performed tableside, where Woodford Reserve Rye Whiskey starred, its smooth, woody notes playing a leading role. This cocktail not only exemplified the bar’s ethos at ADKT but also elevated the dining experience, embodying the establishment’s commitment to excellence in both taste and presentation.
