Oceanside International Film Festival 
Aug. 7-11. The Oceanside International Film Festival returns for its ninth year, remaining North County’s longest running film festival. Each year the event hosts amazing work from around the world, often highlighting local filmmakers. OIFF 2019 will showcase films from a variety of countries, including but not limited to France, Australia, Portugal, Spain and Mexico. See website for full schedule. $12+. “Corks & Canvas” Wine Pairing and Art Show 
Aug. 11. Spend your afternoon with Cohn Restaurant Group for their fifth annual “Corks & Canvas.” Guests have the opportunity to meet and greet CRG’s talented in-house artists while tasting wine pairings inspired by their artwork. Primavera’s Seasonal Menu 
Now Available. Celebrate this season with fresh and flavorful new entrées from family-owned and operated Primavera Ristorante in Coronado. Menu highlights include portobello alla bianca made with portobello mushroom-stuffed ravioli with sun-dried tomato and dill cream sauce; and pollo alla Contadina featuring sautéed chicken breast, artichoke hearts, mushrooms, roasted peppers and white wine sauce, served with risotto. Summer at Ponce’s Mexican Restaurant
Now Available. The popular restaurant is now serving a summer menu at both the Kensington and Del Sur locations. Menu additions include carne en su jugo made with marinated flank steak in a slightly smokey stew of bacon, frijoles, serrano chiles, cilantro and onions, served with mini Monterrey Jack quesadillas. Drinks include the tequila-based La Sandi with fresh watermelon juice, lime, agave nectar, dusted with Tajín—of which the restaurant has already sold 300+ since it debuted. Hess Brewer’s Dinner at Top of the Market
Aug. 8. Top of the Market restaurant presents a five-course dinner highlighted by Mike Hess Brewing’s best beers. National Root Beer Float Day at the Sheraton Carlsbad
Aug. 9. In celebration of National Root Beer Float Day, the Sheraton Carlsbad Resort and Spa invites locals and guests to partake in a sweet fundraiser. Aug. 10-11. The 14th Annual ArtWalk @ Liberty Station features more than 200 local, regional and international professional artists. The art walk offers collectable and approachable art from a variety of mediums, such as glass work, jewelry, sculptures, oil painting, photography, metal work and wood work. Growing Wild Art Show
Aug. 11. San Diego Botanic Garden is pleased to host this botanical-themed exhibition by Oceanside Museum of Art’s Artists Alliance. This show is juried by Kathi McCord and Peter Tobias. The exhibit featuring oil paintings, photography on metal, oil on copper and other mixed media.
