S.D. County Vintner’s Wine Festival
June 1. Calling all oenophiles! The San Diego Vintner’s Association presents the 2025 San Diego County Vintner’s Wine Festival at Bernardo Winery on Sunday. Enjoy an afternoon of sunshine and wine sipping, featuring more than 20 local wineries; plus live music, a silent auction and light bites. Each ticket includes unlimited wine tastings; individual charcuterie; and a complimentary logo tasting cup. Sonny’s Pizza & Fine Food
Now Open. The team behind Madison on Park and Madi welcomes you to Sonny’s—a 1980s Brooklyn-inspired pizza joint housed in a century-old building that was formerly an auto shop. An epoch neon sign invites you into a warm nostalgic space, featuring wooden booths, framed photos of stars from John Travolta to Tony Bennett, a gleaming bar below a vaulted wood-paneled ceiling, and a family-friendly patio. On the menu: Brooklyn-style pies cooked in a custom pizza oven imported from Italy, pastas, and amaro-forward cocktails. Now Available. In celebration of its new full liquor license, Finca restaurant and bottle shop in North Park has debuted a brand-new cocktail program and menu—crafted by bar manager Matt Gisler. New Chef & Menus at The Marine Room

Ananda Bareño (pictured) has joined La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club as its executive chef—overseeing culinary programming at The Marine Room and Shores Restaurant (plus a new restaurant, bar and market as part of a $60 million resort overhaul). At The Marinee Room, Bareño’s new menu includes Tasmanian ocean trout, rose snapper, Cascade Creek lamb chops, Japanese A5 wagyu steak, and a refined caviar service. Broadway S.D.: A Beautiful Noise
May 27-June 1. Neil Diamond himself collaborated to make A Beautiful Noise: The Neil Diamond Musical, presented by Broadway San Diego at the Civic Theatre. In it, we follow Diamond’s life and career path from a Brooklyn kid to an American rock icon, churning out chart toppers such as “Sweet Caroline” and “Forever in Blue Jeans.” Diamond sold 120 million records, was inducted into the Songwriters and Rock and Roll Halls of Fame, and received a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award. SDMA: American Minimal
Through June 1. Paying homage to the Minimalist art movement of the 1960s and 1970s, The San Diego Museum of Art (SDMA) presents the landmark exhibition, American Minimal. Curated by Anita Feldman, in collaboration with Jennifer Findley and John Digesare, the installation celebrates works by the likes of Minimalist artist Frank Stella, namely his 1970 painting “Flin Flon VIII (pictured),” part of his Protractor Series, featuring colorful geometric shapes; plus a range of work from diverse media. S.D. Botanic Garden: World of Orchids
Through June 1. Explore orchids in bloom at the San Diego Botanic Garden’s exhibition, World of Orchids, through Sunday—staged in the Dickinson Family Education Conservatory. The Garden presents a new theme this year: “Orchidelirium,” showcasing exotic and rare orchids circa the 19th-century Victorian era—with hundreds of orchids on display that ignited the passions of botanical enthusiasts and collectors of that time period. Arts District Liberty Station: Open-Air Gallery
Now Open. The Arts District Liberty Station has launched its new Open-Air Gallery: a self-guided, immersive experience that lets you explore the District’s public art collection of murals, multimedia works and sculptures. A mobile-friendly StoryMap (available in English and Spanish) guides you to each installation, complete with walking directions, behind-the-scenes visuals, and audio from the artists. Comic-Con Museum: Sangre, Sudor, y Mito
Now Open. Comic-Con Museum unveils a new exhibit, titled Sangre, Sudor, y Mito (which translates to “blood, sweat and myth”): The Art and Tradition of Mexican Lucha Libre.
