The Flower Fields Splash Color Across North County
One of San Diego’s most colorful attractions opens March 1 with more than fifty acres of ranunculus.
Spring is just around the corner. Take yourself out of the concrete jungle and spend a few hours in one of nature’s wonders, found right in North County. Enjoy 50 acres of extraordinary color blooming on a hillside overlooking the Pacific Ocean along with walking trails, gift shops and events for the whole family. For the first time in 15 years, the ranunculus flowers have been arranged in a new color pattern, offering a brand new beauty to those who frequent the fields. While basking in the breathtaking colors, walk rose gardens, take an antique tractor ride and immerse yourself in nature—there’s even a living maze made of sweet pea blossoms. Be sure to check the website for exciting events and festivals throughout the season. This beautiful North County attraction is open March 1 through May 12, and blooms are in their peak around April.
