San Diego Symphony’s Pianos in Public Spaces
Share the love of music at one of 10 pianos throughout San Diego with Pianos in Public Spaces.
The San Diego Symphony steps off the stage and onto the street, inviting you to participate in their inaugural month-long festival Upright & Grand where the piano is the star.
As part of the celebration, Pianos in Public Spaces (PIPS) brings music to San Diego in some of the unlikeliest of places. Through Feb. 8, 10 colorfully painted pianos take up temporary residence in public spaces and everyone is invited to play. Each unique piano was painted by a local community group partner. Music enthusiasts can find the piano closest to them, or fit in a musical tour of San Diego neighborhoods by locating each instrument. Here’s where you can find them:
