Art Alive Springs into the San Diego Museum of Art April 25-28.
Masterpieces by world-famous artists come to life in floral recreations at this breathtaking annual exhibit.
Springtime in San Diego can only mean one thing—Art Alive at The San Diego Museum of Art. For more than 30 years, floral designers have been invited into the galleries of the San Diego Museum of Art to create living interpretations of some of the greatest art in San Diego’s collection. These floral pieces will be shown side by side with the masterpieces that were used as inspiration. Floral interpretations can be seen of works by world-renowned artists such as El Greco, Degas, Monet and Renior. The Museum celebrates these four floral-filled days with a host of special events, including the opening celebration this Thursday, April 25, featuring a sneak peek at the flowers and tastes from several of San Diego’s top restaurants.
